STRONG Support for LPSS Licensure

As a geotechnical engineer I find it invaluable to have the expertise of the Licensed Soil Scientists we have on staff that evaluate soils profiles for infiltration facilities that are part of stormwater management systems.  A few years ago Arlington County revised their code to require a LPSS to oversee and stamp infiltration test reports.  This was due to the significant failure rate of infiltration facilities.   Other professionals, such as geotechnical engineers (such as myself) rely on an LPSS's to identify redoximorphic indicators of seasonal high water table (SHWT) that significantly impacts infiltration.
