SUPPORT Continued Regulation of Interior Design in Virginia

My name is SHARON KROSZKEWICZ and I LIVE AND WORK IN VIRGINIA. I write this comment in STRONG support of the continued regulation of the interior design profession in Virginia.

I am a licensed interior designer and an Office Director, with nearly 30 years of experience  within a federal government Bureau.  Not only do we facilitate in-house design, but we partner with very well-renowned national and international design firms, with licensed and credentialed architects and designers. My Bureau and Office provides direct oversight of their work ensuring that safe, functional, and maintainable requirements within comfortable and beautiful work and living facilities for US Diplomats abroad are met on a daily basis.  Without the rigorous and disciplined requirements of licensing, not only is my position, experience, and expertise undermined, but also that of my team. Licensing and continuing education requirements are also vital to remaining current with the industry, latest technologies, and code compliance.
