As a certified Interior Designer I spend a good bit of time study new codes to insure that I'm keeping the safety of my clients when designing a new space.  It's not about the finishes, it's about the flow of the space, it's function and ensuring that not only it meets the needs of the client but doesn't put them into harm.  Years of study and experience have given me that knowledge and that shouldn't be taken for granted.  50% of an average persons day is spent is a space similar to what I, as an interior design, design every day, we need to ensure it's done correctly.
