standards for ballot tabulation

It is unacceptable that the voting time be extended past 7pm, Nov 3, 2020 without verifying that the vote has been cast before the published deadline.  This must be done either by voting in person or by documentation by post mark.  The current proposed extension of vote counting by 2 1/2 days without legal proof of time and date stamp on all ballots is not legal, and no amount rationalization will make it so.  There is a reason that voting laws are clear, and that is to assure that there is a set of rules that ALL voters can follow.  Let's keep this process OPEN and ABOVE board!! Any attempt to muddy this standard needs to be addressed at a public non partisan hearing.

Thank you,

Margaret Hess
