I strongly support continuing the regulation of Backflow Prevention Device Workers.  Backflow testing is critical in keeping our public water systems safe.  Therefore, Backflow Prevention Device Workers should be required to have training on testing backflow devices properly.  The accurate testing and maintenance of backflow devices is essential for the safety of our public water systems and for preventing potential contaminants from entering the water supply.  Without proper training, certification and regulation, anyone would be allowed to test a backflow prevention device and certify that is passes.
