I am a master plumber, gas-fitter, and certified backflow technician. I have been in the trade for over 40 years. 

I believe it imperative that backflow technicians be certified and re-certified on a regular basis. The plumbing trades protect the health of the nation/community. We cannot leave to chance the potential for liability, civil and/or criminal, in the hands of unregulated and un-certified individuals. 

I support the continuance of backflow technician certification.
