Backflow Tester Licensing

Our association  ( The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors of Virginia) have the long established philosophy of helping to protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Virginia. We are part of the National organization that has been in existence for over 100 years and this is the core of what we do as contractor members...We help to protect the health, safety and welfare of the Citizens of this country.

I was part of the group that helped get the legislation passed to allow for Backflow Prevention Device Testers.  I STILL believe it is essential to protect the water systems in our state from cross connections which are potentially deadly.  I also believe that we need to continue the backflow prevention device tester licensing in order to help accomplish this task. Our area (Charlottesville and surrounding counties) have really good programs that mandate yearly testing of the devices in place and it is critical that these devices be tested and replaced as needed by licensed professionals to protect people from drinking contaminated waters that could happen from cross connections.

Please KEEP the Backflow Prevention Device Tester license in place.
