Action | Amend Requirements for Carrying Handguns in State Forests |

In a free state laws should be a minimum and consistant. Since Virginia consitution and state laws allows open carry, that right needs to be extended in state parks and state forests. Citizens are free and a free person can carry arms to protect himself/herself, family and neighbors and the community when needed.
The citizens retain the right to open carry at will in Virginia and there is no rational reason to arbitrary deny that right in state parks and forests.
I respectfully request that a hearing to be convened to remove any carry restriction in state forests and parks other that it be lawful, so that the law is consistant throughout Virginia
