Number of children in the home

In the amended regulations, Section 22VAC40-211-70-K, the proposed amendment is worded to limit the number of foster children in the home to no more than six. The wording of the original regulation pertained to children in the home not to exceed eight. That has been interpreted to mean eight total children, to include biological children, adopted children, etc. in addition to foster children, so all residents under the age of eighteen years were considered in the total. The proposed new regulation identifies only foster children. Does the cap on all children that can live in the home remain at eight? Has the cap on all children living in the home been taken out? This statement requires clarification.  Thank you!
