I support change to the regulation to allow concealed carry. 

I would like to see a hearing on allowing open carry of handguns in State Forests.  I agree with the formal opinion of the Virginia Attorney General (08-043) published in September 2008.  Part of the opinion includes this:

"I find no specific statutory authority granting the Department the authority to prohibit the open carrying of firearms in state parks."
