protect Virginia workers and all of us

Whether it is a healthcare worker, pregnant mom, an elder, a friend with a compromised immune system, a neighbor with an ill child....we are all connected to someone in the vulnerable category. Mandating face coverings in public settings is a common-sense way to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

I urge the Board to adopt the proposed standard with the elimination of one paragraph, Paragraph G on page 6, which allows employers to ignore this standards if they comply with CDC guidance. CDC publications are only suggestions this could undermine the whole purpose of this emergency standard.

Without mandates in place, workers cannot protect themselves, their families, and the community. Please add other types of workers to the "high risk" category, such as meatpacking and service workers. I also believe there should be strong reporting and record-keeping requirements to track the location of cases.
