As a Virginia citizen, I strongly encourage the adoption of these safety rules regarding masks and personal protective equipment for workers in Virginia businesses.  Masks have been shown to play an important role in reducing the spread of COVID-19, but very high levels of mask-wearing seem to be required in order to get the positive effects. 

This is a simple and relatively affordable measure that can help ensure a safer reopening for VA.  Businesses are obliged to provide a safe and sanitary work environment for their employees, which should include provision of masks and other relevant PPE, as well as requiring their use.
