I support the new regulation, but I am asking for  
a hearing on allowing for the open carry of handguns in State Forests.   
That would bring State Forests into compliance with a formal opinion  
(08-043) published in September 2008 by the Virginia Attorney General. 

The laws need to be uniform and to apply to ANYWHERE I choose to go in a law abiding fashion.  A crazy patchwork quilt of laws and regulations just makes it all to easy to ACCIDENTALLY break the law by wander over an arbritray and frequently unmarked boundary.
