I kindly ask that you reject the proposed mask mandate. As a small business owner, a mandatory mask mandate hurts small business. 

As a mother, I am greatly worried about the impact of wearing masks and social distancing on students, particularly the very young ones. Children need to feel secure in order to flourish. Not being able to interact with peers and teachers is going to impact learning. Not being able to participate in arts, music, and physical education in full capacity will further hinder their education. 

If individuals feel they need to be socially distant or wear PPE, then they have every right to do so. If heathy individuals choose to not wear a mask, then they should have every right to do so as well. 

It is unfair to mandate a mask REQUIREMENT. 

The intial goal was the FLATTEN the curve. We’ve flattened it. Let’s move on!
