Stop trying to protect everyone! Address the risk

Using Virginia data, (June 15th) there were no deaths for ages 0-19. When we look at people between the age of 0 and 49 they account for 63% of all cases and only 3.5% of all deaths. In other words, 37% of the cases (ages 50 and above) account for 96.5% of the deaths. Stop trying to protect the children. Focus risk mitigation on older adults with underlying conditions. Preventing teens from going to a swimming pool or socializing with these statistics is like requiring people without drivers licenses to have car insurance...just in case. Stop with the masks already. It should be voluntary. This is going to spread, it is a virus. We should focus on mitigating the risk for the population that is at risk. The masks seem to be in place just to make people feel good. covering your mouth and maybe your nose but not disinfecting everything with touch like shopping carts or key pads just does not make sense. Your trying to control the flow of air you cant see. I would like you to actually look at the risks you are putting Virginia's economy in. If people do not think they are safe, they can wear a mask and stay home. If others believe they are healthy and can survive the flu then let them go out, spend money, and move on with life. Where were you on texting and driving or other preventable deaths. You could prevent deaths from texting and driving with one law and you don't. I know my car GPS disables if I am moving. This issue is so obviously political. Pass a law that says proceed at your own risk, businesses and government cannot be held responsible for preventing people from getting a virus. NO MASKS PLEASE. Stop making arbitrary decisions like youth sports an incidental touching versus intentional. You either accept touching or you do not. If you are trying to prevent something from spreading you would stop all touching and not look at whether or not it was intentional. That is not how the virus spreads. Look at who is at risk. Youth sports leagues, if the athlete has no underlying condition then yes. Adult leagues again underlying conditions. It really is not just the age since underlying conditions are strongly correlated with age. Stop trying to mitigate risk by looking at an activity and trying to figure out where you can social distance and look at the activity for where you can't social distance. For example who cares if we are crossing each other in a grocery store aisle if we are all using the same nondisinfected carts and keypads. If you accept the risk of the carts and keypads, then accept the other risks as well. If you accept incidental touching in youth sports than accept all. Why do I need a facemask when I walk into a dentist's office if I am going to take it off so they can work on my teeth? Nothing you are doing makes sense and movement does not signify progress.
