Yes to Masks - The Selfishness Blows Me Away!

As a society we have many regulations that have been put in place to make our lives safe.  Drive the speed limit or wear a seat belt for example, may be inconvenient, but we do it because it keeps us and others safe.  You're wearing a mask to protect others and if you're fortunate enough to have gotten your hands on medical masks, yourself.  I've read many comments that state their rights are being infringed on by mandating masks, well maybe mine are as well by being told I have to return to my job (which by the way I miss and understand is important to getting the economy going) without having the proper health protection being required.  Yes, I'm a teacher and miss my students.  Having our students return to school with everything "back to normal" is everyone's goal but these are not NORMAL times.  This is not something just in Virginia or the USA, it's a worldwide pandemic.  The places that are seeing success in bringing the number of cases down are the ones that have taken the proper health precautions.  Where regulations are loosened and guards are dropped cases have gone back up.  Whatever we decide to do MUST look at the medical facts and lessons learned around the world.  Again, I want to get back to work, I want to go to restaurants, music venues, etc. but we won't get back to anything close to normal if we listen to the deniers.  We never complained about "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service", so what's the big deal about masks except that this is a health issue?  If you want the economy to pick up, then everyone wearing masks should be a "no brainer".  The virus doesn't care if you don't "like" wearing a mask or you're tired of staying home!
