Do NOT open schools

Elementary aged children will not be diligent in wearing a mask. There is no adequate way to ensure that they will. The cleaning that would be required every day would stretch the janitorial crews to the absolute limit and put them in danger. Teachers miss their students, there is no question, but opening up the schools prior to a vaccine or an adequate treatment is suicidal. Hong Kong had four deaths from Covid-19. Because they always wear masks, where it is for protection from the poor air quality or to protect others. It is profoundly important to wear a mask. Not wearing one is beyond selfish. It's not a matter of personal freedom or religious freedom. It's a matter of protecting your fellow citizens which is profound patriotic. With the new information surfacing about younger people being diagnosed more often, opening the schools puts the teacher population at profound risk. Not to mention the resulting multi-organ failure that has been seen in children who are of elementary age. Until a vaccine can be decimated in a large manner, opening the schools is beyond foolish.
