I support mandating the wearing of masks in public places for all, with the appropriate exceptions made for age and health concerns.  I am especially concerned with the reopening of public schools without this protection in place for children and adults.  The protocol that includes hand washing, social distancing, and wearing of masks musts be in place to provide the minimal safety.  Classrooms have been overcrowded and understaffed for years.  Teachers and other staff have been working hard to provide quality education for children especially in underserved areas.  To add the additional burden of managing the safety and perhaps lives of their students is an unreasonable job expectation.
