I strongly urge the board to adopt the proposed standard with the exception of paragraph, Paragraph G on page 6, which allows employers to ignore this standard if they comply with CDC guidance. CDC publications are only suggestions and this could undermine the whole purpose of this emergency standard. No standard should ever have a "this standard can be ignored" clause.
 
The standard should be expanded to include all high risk workers in addition to health care workers to the “high risk” category e.g., meatpacking workers. Also, there should be strong reporting and record-keeping requirements to track the location of cases.
