I am writing  to request your vote in favor of the Emergency Temporary Standard/Emergency Regulation 16 VAC 25-220 by the Safety and Health Codes Board.  Workplaces have proven to be places of high transmission of the virus in a number of industries. 

Workers across the Commonwealth need enforceable protections for their own health and the public health at large during this pandemic and beyond. These emergent, common-sense regulations are essential to both critical workers and the business community of Virginia. In particular health care, first responders, funeral service workers, meatpacking workers and staff in prisons and jails need protection.  They, in turn, pose a risk to the entire community when infected.  

I request that you pass the regulations on June 24, 2020, to prevent further damage to the health of workers and the public in response to this emergency within an emergency.
