Please do not limit this amendment

While I support an amendment to the regulations to allow the lawful carrying of concealed handguns with a concealed handgun permit at State forests, please do not limit it to just citizens with canceled handgun permits.  Forests and State Parks are public lands and it is currently legal to carry a handgun in plain sight (i.e. open carry) on public property in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

I urge you at this time to consider amending the regulations to be more in line with other laws regarding possession of handguns on public property.  This will reduce confusion for the citizen as to what laws to obey and reduce inconsistencies in regulations with Commenwealth laws.
