I OPPOSE

I strongly oppose fast tracking this bill and the entire concept of reporting individuals with their personal information to the government. Infectious disease happens and it’s nobody’s  fault and is not the job or domain of the government to try to control, especially not by stripping citizens of their liberty and privacy.

Do NOT fast track this bill or any bill (which is just a way to evade legislative process to benefit outside forces, mainly industry influences over our politicians). And do NOT require doctors or anyone to report any information about our citizens.  Keeping nameless tallies of certain infectious diseases of concern is fine and important information, especially if you would keep count as you should of whether or not individuals were vaccinated (as most likely, as many studies have already shown, those who get flu shots are MORE likely to get the flu and other respiratory viruses). If this information is discovered it should be revealed to the public to let people know the truth to then make their own decisions about their health and what pharmaceutical products they choose to purchase as private consumers.  But the government’s the has no right or power to register us and which infections we each have. When it is obvious they will only use this information to harm and persecute people based on their personal, private health conditions and/or choices.
