To Whom it May Concern,

It has to my attention that the State of Virginia is proposing regulations to the Board of Health requiring citizens to report their minor illnesses to the Board, specifically the flu. First, this is an egregious invasion of privacy. Second, it would serve no useful purpose.Third, the people of Virginia are intelligent enough to stay home, and keep their children at home, when they are sick, to prevent spreading disease unnecessarily. While the symptoms of the flu can be uncomfortable, most flu type illnesses are minor, with full recovery after a couple of days. I oppose this impending regulation, as it is not in the purview of the government to collect data on minor illnesses.
