No to fast tracking Flu reporting

I strongly oppose any measure requiring doctors to report persons with suspected flu symptoms to the the state. I also strongly oppose the fast tracking of such a measure. What is the point of such a draconian law?  What would be the purpose of forcing doctors to report people to the state other than a not so subtle form of intimidation? How could such a measure make people safer. Clearly it would have the opposite effect, as sick people would simply avoid going to their doctor. This is completely outrageous! What is precipitating the need for such a law. Is there a state of emergency here in VA? I haven’t heard of any but how else do you justify such drastic and unnecessary measures. The more likely reason is the overwhelming influence of the pharmaceutical industry who most certainly is behind this. The only reason for fast tracking such a law would be to silence the many reasonable voices that would oppose It. Allowing the fast tracking of such a controversial law would bring Virginia one step closer to a medical police state. Please be reasonable and not reactionary.
