I and my family object to the fast tracking of the proposed amendment which would violate the right to privacy guaranteed to every law-abiding Virginian citizen per the Virginia Constitution. There is no scientific or legal justification for increasing the reporting requirements on influenza, an innocuous illness for a normal individual when treated with proper rest and fluids alone. Due care and process are most important in pursuing upright and logical decisions for the good of the people rather than feeding the insatiable appetites for corporate profit and political funding.
