Mental health professionals should provide care that is ethical and affirming. CT is neither. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I strongly urge yout to pass regulations banning this practice in Virginia. Hopefully, we will soon pass legislation in the 2020 GA which will end this practice here, for any resident, not just children. Let's erase the stain on our Commonwealth for not having already outlawed such a hideous practice.
