Conversion therapy is a practice that has been debunked. It has been linked to depression and suicide attempts.  I personally have seen the pain that this "therapy" has caused friends of mine.  Children should not be subject to the beliefs of their parents and they should not have someone trying to change the gender they identify with or the gender they are attracted to.
