Abortion is not health care. It snuffs out the lives of innocent, defenseless human beings, at least half of whom are females. No one can rationally dispute these propositions, so even those who are pro-choice do not try. These propositions are demonstrable, empirical facts.

And yet, some on the pro-choice side are so radically committed to the "right" to abortion that they are willing to ignore the medical conditions under which the abortion takes place. There are no medical protections for the child whose precious life is eliminated in the womb. Some would not even protect that life after it is born, if an abortion is intended. But even if you are pro-choice, and even if you are willing to permit the child to die after a failed abortion, surely you can agree that the life of the mother is precious enough to ensure that proper medical criteria are met for the procedure to take place.

This is not a test between pro-life and pro-choice. It is a test of how far anti-human radicalism, devoted only to the "rights" of sexual liberty, can go in American life.
