Without proper health and safety guidelines women choosing abortion are cast back to the pre-Roe days of back alley abortions where the mother often died with her baby during the abortion or, if she survived, was at risk for sepsis or infection due to poor sanitary conditions or a careless doctor. If abortion is touted as Reproductive Healthcare, then health and safety regulations should be in place so that when a mother with child goes for an abortion, at least one of them should be expected to survive.
