Mr. Cobb's previous entry was well put.  Instead of just changing hands from VDH to DPOR it seems the wheel is being reinvented.  I believe licensing is important.  It validates our profession in the eyes of the public.  I don't think our previous testing and experience should be disregarded because the job of oversight is changing hands.  Like Mr. Cobb wrote, this whole change over suggests to the public that the AOSE's working today that design conventional and alternative systems are incompotent and unskilled.
