As a resident of Virginia, I am writing to support the return of horse racing to Virginia.  I am new to the industry, with just one 2-year-old Maryland bred filly, who I am currently stabling at Laurel Park.  The opportunity to support Virginia horse racing is very exciting for me, as I have watched the Maryland industry rebound.  The same can be done for Virginia.  

My passion for racing has driven me to write a trilogy about the Triple Crown races, with my fictional horse being a Virginia-bred, and many of my story telling and locations center around Virginia.   My husband and I have an undeveloped farm in Middleburg, VA where we hope to expand our racing operations in the years to come and knowing that Virginia is investing to support the industry would be a huge boost to having Virginia-bred horses and racing them within our home state.
