Dear Sirs, I am writing in support of racing / Colonial Downs and their efforts to reinvigorate the horse racing industry in the State of Virginia. My understanding is that the job creation at the New Kent track and OTB facilities around the Commonwealth will be in the "thousands". It makes common sense to support this initative that has such a positive effect on so many other business and citizens in Virginia. We should not push our citizens to drive to neighboring states to engage in this type of recreation. I urge our state officials to support Colonial Downs and pass the necessary regulations that will allow Colonial Downs to be successful. When racing thrives again in Virginia, everyone in the Commonwealth will benefit. Thank you for your consideration.
