To The Racing Commition,

This is to request that, when considering the number of gaming machines/devices, you allow Colonial Downs the flexibility to add or subtract based on demand at each facility.  Only with an adequate number of machines/devices to meet their projections will they be able to attract the better horses and jockies to the track.  

Our neighboring states are annually taking in million's of dollars that, had certain law makers not had such a puritanical vision, Virginia would have kept right here at home.  Because of this, four-years ago Colonial Downs. a beautiful, first-class racing facility closed it's doors.  However, Virginia's Legislature and Govenor have paved the way for the new owners of Colonial Downs to rebuild a facility that could be comparable to the finest in the country.
