The future of the horse industry in Virginia has been in danger for the past few decades. Steeplechase race meets in Virginia have also struggled in recent years to provide adequate purse structures. The efforts of the Virginia Equine Alliance have been helpful, but they can only continue and expand their efforts if every avenue to generate income is pursued.
