Gambling historically has ruined indivituals, families and thus entire communities. Time and emotions are spent hoping for instant gratification without having to work for financial reward. This is a business that preys on the weakness  and risk taking habits of others. This does not lead to responsible living or being a good citizen.  We can find more wholesome ways for Virginians to enjoy pastimes without risk to their all important incomes.
