HHR machines

I am very unhappy that Gov. Northam is expanding the gambling/casino industry in Virgina.  Since this bill was passed by the House instead of voters, to lessen the damage, the HHR machines should only be extensions of the horse racing industry, instead of becoming an excuse to slip in local casino gaming.  I strongly believe that all machines should only display the actual video replay of the horse races that are being wagered on.  The machines must also fully comply with the same requirements for live horse races. Since gambling can become an addiction, I believe a percentage of the profits from this industry, must be set aside in a fund and used only for helping problem gamblers and their families.  I do not feel that taxpayers should bear the burden of paying and/or providing treatment for their addiction.  The horse racing gambling industry is the source of this problem so they should provide the money for helping anyone with this addiction.  Most importantly, we should include regulations that GUARANTEE each community’s ability to determine whether or not they want horse racing/casino gambling in their neighborhood.
