This proposal to eliminate exemptions for licensure is insane and I smell something fishy. Why is the state trying to push out small businesses like private afterschool karate classes, music classes, science classes, etc.. Those small businesses not only can’t afford to make their business align with state childcare licensing, but in most cases it would be impossible for them anyway based on zoning issues. They ARENT childcare. They are enrichment and short term child mining classes. They shouldn’t have to be regulated like a state licensed daycare. 

This seems to me that the big pocket owners of centers and academies are greasing the palms of politicians to shut down small businesses that sometimes attract their clientele. That’s what I think is going on here.

Anybody with half a brain should kill this stupid proposal ASAP.
