TRAP is unnecessary and politically motivated

Reproductive health choice should be available and affordable.

TRAP was and is unnecessary, undue, and politically motivated regulation restricting reproductive health services. These restrictions are a dis-service to more than half the citizens of the Commonwealth. Making access difficult in the extreme to any and all legal health services limits women of Virginia in making decisions regarding their health.

Decisions about a woman’s health should be between that woman and her doctor. By restricting reproductive options the Virginia General Assembly and previous Attorneys General had limited the choices a woman and/or her doctor may consider in deciding what is appropriate for her as an individual. She was being punished for being a citizen of Virginia.

Abortion is one reproductive health choice that must be available and affordable.

Limiting access means limiting choice. Let women decide, let women choose.

Women of Virginia deserve better.
