Abortion Clinic standards

An abortion is a medical procedure, regardless of what your stand is on whether abortion is right or wrong. Therefore abortion clinics should, at the minimum, be held to the exact same standards as any medical facility. This is just common sense. It is not a political game to be played. No other medical procedure, or even dental procedure, would be or should be performed under unsafe conditions. Why should abortions be different? If an abortionist cannot perform his "services" under common medically approved basic health and safety standards observed by every other medical professional, he and his clinic should be closed down. The governor's proposed amendments are politically motivated, and will result in unnecessary risks to women.
