I write to express my hope that you will do everything possible to reject the recently-proposed amendments of Gov. McAuliffe to water down health and safety standards in Virginia's abortion centers. Certainly it is commonly agreed that an abortion is a medical procedure of a severe nature requiring all the training of staff and sanitation and oversight that a regular hospital procedure would practice routinely. Detailed records should be kept and made public. Virginia should provide this diligence for every woman who receives care from a Virginia (or any state's) abortion centers. Please reject the Governor's proposals.
