Stop Monopoly, Oppose HB 1228

The current law that is in place now assures that amateur promotions have to use one of the three state approved sanctioning bodys, so self-sanctioning is already a thing of the past.  The current sanctioning bodys that are in place has already had to prove their compentency in order to be approved by the DPOR.  By turning around NOW, only 4 months after the law went into effect and trying to alter the requirements for sanctioning bodys in a way to eliminate the competition and create a Monopoly that only benefits one sanctioning body is just WRONG!!

Where's the evidence that fighter safety is being put at risk?   There is none!  This "figher safety" that is being tossed around is nothing more than a catch phrase intended to grab attention to push through an agenda that would create an unfair monopoly so one sanctioning body could control sanctioning for the entire state.

In addition, not one of the current sanctioning bodys in place now are large enough to cover the needs of the entire states and promoters need sanctioning bodys to be available on the specific dates that they are able to secure venues.   This HB 1228 is wrong all the way around.  This one needs kicked out of consideration!
