Most MD's in many states need hundreds of hours of training before they can use Acupuncture let alone the Acupuncturists who are trained for 4 years with thousands of needles being inserted in their training.
Weekend courses being taught are using Acupuncture theory and Acupuncture points with minimal training.
Dry Needling is Acupuncture. There is no other way around this definition. So it being Acupuncture, why are PTs allowed to needle people with such little training? makes no sense.
If a MD needs 300 to 500 hours of training to use Acupuncture needles, then a PT needs 1000.
