I support the increase in hours required for veterinary technicians to be relicensed yearly.  As rapidly as the knowledge base in veterinary medicine grows, I don't see how any professional could keep current with just 6 hours of continuing education each year.  I have been licensed for 40 years and have averaged 20 hours per year, even before there was any requirement for relicensure.  I embrace this increase.  It will bring Virginia requirements more in line with the national standard for states requiring credentialing of veterinary technicians and maintain the high standard Virginia has long been known for.
