The Virginia Coalition to Protect Women's Health submits these comments to the Department of Health and the Board of Health concerning the Board's approval of a Notice of Intended Regulatory Action (NOIRA) to amend the regulations. These comments include a summary of the serious issues in the current regulations and specific recommendations for improvements that would preserve the high standards of patient safety and access to care that abortion facilities in the Commonwealth have provided for over forty years.
