Abortion clinics, which provide a critical service to women, should be held to the same standards as medical facilities providing comparable services. The regulations facing abortion providers are medically unnecessary, politically motivated, and create an undue burden on Virginia women and the clinics who serve them.
Both sides of this issue claim that their goal is to protect women. The targeted regulations do not protect women, and further restrict their access to a safe outpatient procedure. Regulations should be based on medical need, not politics. Please amend the regulations for abortion clinics to reflect this.
