Dear Virginia Board of Health,

I strongly urge you to maintain the high medical standards imposed by the Regulations for the Licensure of Abortion Facilities (12 VAC 5-412) along with all the 2010 Guidelines for Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities. To relax these regulations is to put the lives of Virginia's women at risk to the increased possibility of infection, injury, and even death. Too many women across the country have been seriously injured or have died at the hands of abortionists (and far too many babies have died!). The relaxation of these laws and regulations means abortion offices will no longer be held to hospital grade medical standards even though they are sites of deadly and dangerous procedures. Please act to protect Virginia’s women by refusing to relax the requirements imposed by 12 VAC 5-412. Thank you.
