The definition of Amend: make minor changes in (a text) in order to make it fairer, more accurate, or more up-to-date.  This law can not be amended, as unfair as it is. An amendment here or there is not going to change the simple fact that "abortion clinics" have been placed in a category of health care facilities way higher than the procedures undertaken in these facilities should mandate. i do not see dental offices listed.  procedures in their chair (at times) require more sedation than 1st trimester abortions; infections can occur in a specialist's office for ANY procedure requiring instruments (including practitioners' hands) to touch mucous membranes or cut/burn the skin.  ie: mole removal,  Yet this point is mute in this forum, as it is directed to the Department of Health, who must follow the ridiculous law as it is written, and no "small change" is going to correct the law. i ask that the Health Department  suggest amending this law to include all Doctor's Offices (including but not limited to Specialists in the field of Medicine), & Dental Offices.  if the law has been written to provide safety for women (and men certainly require no less) - then we must amend it to include all facilities that feasibly could cause the same harm. hair replacement therepy, for instance - are they not perforating skin and causing the likelihood of infection...what about ear piercing/body piercing facilities, or Tattoo parlors?  yes, the law needs to be revisited, no amendment can encompass the wrongs this law provides.
