I strongly support amending TRAP regulations for women's health clinics so that they are based on sound medical requirements--not on politics.   Forcing clinics to close because of non-essential and/or bogus requirements is a devastating disservice to thousands of Virginia women.  While the political motivation is to restrict abortions, we must remember that these clinics provide many other essential  health services to women who don't have ready access to urban or suburban hospitals or treatment facilities.  These clinics serve a real need--and regulations governing their operations should be based on accepted medical evidence.  Politics and idealogy have no place here.
