The Virginia Board of Health decided recently to amend certain medically-unnecessary restrictions on women’s health care centers in Virginia. As a concerned observer, I applaud this decision. Please do not let politics drive decisions that affect women’s health. Please act objectively to ensure that all Virginia women have affordable access to safe, legal reproductive health care.
It was obvious from the start that the restrictions on women’s health centers were really about denying access to abortion. Three of 21 women’s health centers in Virginia were forced to close or stop providing abortion services, in part due to these medically-unnecessary restrictions. Now is the chance to fix this deplorable situation, and keep Virginia women’s health centers open. Please accept the decision from the Virginia Board of Health. Thank you.
