It is important to me as a woman in the Commonwealth of Virginia that all members of the Virginia Board of Health work tirelessly to ensure the safety, health and right to informed consent of all women who undergo any medical procedures in any facilities, especially those providing reproductive-related health care to women, in the Commonwealth. I encourage you to work toward this goal and to establish, ensure and evaluate policies that promote and facilitate attainment of the goal of providing safe, medically-superior care to all women in facilities maintained and operated to the highest standards of care.
